Heartwood by William Guion

William (Bill) Guion and I met and became friends while assisting on a number of Friends of Photography workshops back in the late 80's and early 90's. An experience that molded our photographic sensibilities and friendship.

He has just finished publishing a new book called "Heartwood - Further Meditation on Oaks". His beautiful black and white photographs and words about the oaks in California and the heritage oaks of his native Louisiana are wonderful and mystical.
